The Client Problem
The raw production footage was captured across multiple camera sensors (ARRI Alexa, RED V-Raptor, Sony FX6) in variable lighting conditions — resulting in mismatched skin tones, high dynamic range clipping, and disparate color profiles that threatened visual continuity.
Strategy & Architecture
We provided full-scale post-production finishing for Horizon Production Studios’ commercial and episodic documentary series. The pipeline integrated raw camera debayering (RED RAW & ARRI ProRes), strict ACEScc wide-gamut color grading, subtle film emulsion grain matching, custom title graphics, and a 5.1 surround-ready spatial audio mix.

How We Solved It
Established an end-to-end ACES 1.3 color-managed pipeline in DaVinci Resolve Studio to unify sensor color spaces into a consistent wide gamut. Executed precision node-based power windows, secondary skin-tone isolations, custom print-film LUT emulation curves, and coupled the master visual with uncompressed 24-bit 48kHz multi-stem audio masters.

Mastered in ACES 1.3 color-managed space, sensor-matched with precision secondary grading and organic film emulation, and delivered in uncompressed 4K DCI ProRes 4444 XQ alongside 24-bit 48kHz audio stems ready for broadcast and festival exhibition.
